Grandaddy
If there is a concert I regret not paying much atantion, it was Grandaddy's, when they opened for Sigur Rós and Belle & Sebastian at the 2001 Free Jazz Festival, in São Paulo, Brazil. In fact, that evening, I didn't have a clue of what sort of music they played, and the name bothered me, so I didn't even go to the arena to see them.
That evening I was curious to see Sigur Rós live, though their record I swop for something else not long after buying it. Belle & Sebastian I never liked.
Grandaddy is a great band. Simple and cool. Fun and intelligent. Direct and complex.
Their website is also all of this, check it here. Don't forget watching the videos.

A.M. 180

Don’t change your name
keep it the same
for fear I may lose you again

I know you wont
its just that I am unorganised
And I want to find you when, something good happens

if you come down
we'll go to town
I haven't been there for years

but I’d be fine
wasting our time
not doing anything here, just doing nothing

We’ll sit for days
and talk about things
important to us like whatever

well defuse bombs
walk marathons
and take on whatever together, whatever together
